George and Amal Clooney with her parents in New York
George and Amal Clooney may have been married for nearly a year now, but the pair are clearly very much still in the honeymoon stage.
And nothing says I love you like taking the in laws out for dinner on a night off from a busy schedule, and that's exactly what George did as he and his human rights lawyer wife dined out at New York's Carvaggio restaurant with the Alamuddins last night.
Wearing a navy and white floral dress with lace up sandals, Amal was all smiles as she headed out of the eatery with her husband and parents.
But this isn't the first time we've spotted the pair looking loved-up in the city. Amal has visited George on the set of his new movie Money Monster several times this month and each time they can't keep their hands off each other.
Just look at the way he’s looking at her, the way they’re so comfortable in each other’s company, the way she delicately cups his face in her hands, how they’re both so playful and smitten. There’s no denying that the Clooney’s, nearly a year into married life, are more in love than ever.
Taken on the set of Money Monster in New York (George is filming opposite his old pal Julia Roberts) they’re clearly sharing a joke or two in between the odd canoodle. What’s more, he seems to be hanging onto her every word.
But it’s to be expected. I mean, as well as being a barrister, advisor to special Envoy Kofi Annan [on Syria] and a powerful human rights campaigner - along with being insanely beautiful and glamorous - you just know that Amal’s conversation, well, flows. Judging by George’s reaction, she’s also funny. Really funny. Amal Clooney is the real deal; possibly the perfect woman.
Cast your mind back to their wedding. Remember how exciting it was? How the newly weds sailed around Venice in a chic water taxi called Amore, a flotilla of craft – carrying celebrity folk – accompanying the newlyweds every move. It was so damn exciting, not least because they didn’t seem to give two hoots about the swarms of paparazzi documenting their every move. So what could better that? What could possibly create the same level of celebrity excitement? We’re not one’s who like to put pressure on but we think a baby, a Clooney kid might just be the answer.
