Since Cheryl Cole became the nation's sweetheart as fave X Factor judge as well as every girl's hairstyle muse, (love that big blowdry!) it was only a matter of time before she broke away from her Girls Aloud band mates (at least temporarily) to record a solo album.
The single, Fight For This Love, comes from her forthcoming album, Three Words, due for release at the end of October. Though the single isn't out till 19 October, BBC Radio 1 listeners were treated to a first listen this morning at 8am.
Three Words will include collaborations with Black Eyed Peas star, Will.i.am with whom Cheryl previously collaborated on the hit Heartbreaker.
Fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh has already given the single the big thumbs up and is expecting big things of Cheryl: "I actually think she's the new Kylie. There's no doubt about it, Cheryl will be a huge popstar when she releases her solo album."

We think it's a surefire hit!
