Gwyneth Paltrow has given us a glimpse inside her New York home in the latest newsletter from her lifestyle website, Goop.
The mother-of-two decided to redecorate one of the rooms in her NYC home, and has allowed her fans to see the transformation. But rather than hire an interior designer to help her – which Gwyneth says would be 'cost prohibitive and eat up most of your budget' – the actress decided to do it herself. Well, with a little help from Room In A Box, a service which delivers the furniture, paint and room plan. But Gwynnie was the one getting her hands dirty.
Uploading pictures of the 'troubled room' before its makeover (if this is troubled, than our living rooms are positively catatonic), Gwyneth described how she wanted to transform it into 'a room big enough to entertain in', with 'space to seat 10-12 people'. It looks like the Paltrow-Martins are quite the hosts.
And the finished result is everything you'd expect from the Hollywood actress who is married to a rock star musician.
With the piano taking centre stage against brilliant white walls, the room definitely has a more contemporary feel.
We can just imagine Gwyneth, Chris, Apple and Moses having a family sing-a-long around the old joanna…
