Sandra Bullock and George Clooney at a screening for Gravity
In their new film, Gravity, George Clooney and Sandra Bullock play two people cast adrift in space, trying to survive. It’s a plot ripe to bring two people together (on screen at least). And although people have commented on the ‘amazing chemistry’ between the pair (remember that picture of them horsing around in Venice?), there has never been, and probably never will be, any romantic connection between the two stars in real life.
“Sandy is the best. We've been really close friends for a long, long time,” George Clooney told People at a screening for their new movie yesterday.
“She was dating one of my best friends, a dear friend of mine for a long time. I got to know her long before any of us had succeeded,” Clooney continued, which may go some way in explaining why the two have never got to together.
Sandra was quick to reiterate George’s sentiment: “ I think we're probably the only two that haven't dated in the business. I think it's probably because we're a little too similar, in all the disturbing ways.'
What exactly the ‘disturbing ways’ are that Sandra refers to, we’re not sure. What we do know is we’d really like to hang out with them both. They look like fun.
