Game of Thrones huh? Who'd have thought a series about dragons and other fantasy things would become THE TV phenomenon of the modern age.
Social media spoilers have ended friendships, baby girls have been named Khaleesi - the world it seems has gone wild for Westeros, and all those complicated family dynasties and dramas created by George R.R Martin in his now bestselling book series A Song of Ice And Fire.
And with Game of Thrones series six fast approaching (the first new season episode airs on HBO on April 24th), fans are working themselves up into a right old flap – why? Well, those clever people at HBO have only gone and released another teaser trailer, but unlike previous clips, this offering contains plenty of previously unseen footage.

And, yes. We’re still left wondering.
Ok (we have to say this in case any of you AREN’T up to speed) *spoiler alert*…
Game of Thrones season five ended with everyone’s rugged Northern-accented favourite Jon Snow being betrayed by his Brothers of the Night’s Watch. The death scene overcame the Red Wedding as the most talked about moment from the TV show so far, with fans taking to social media to suggest various and creative ways in which Jon Snow could be brought back to life.
Hopes had previously rested on the red sorceress Melisandre (played by Carice van Houten), but those were dashed when in a recent interview with Empire magazine the actress teased:
‘I’m afraid I’m gonna disappoint a lot of people.’
She goes on to add:
‘Why so much pressure on my character? I mean, I understand that he’s the good we want in this crazy world. And me and my mother and my sister want him to come back very desperately. But Melisandre has never brought anyone back to life. Why does it have to be me?’
Actor Kit Harrington has done little to discourage his followers, stating that he’ll only be playing a corpse in the new episodes. And if the teaser trailer is anything to go by, we might just have to believe him. Which is more than a little upsetting.
And well, now EVERYONE it seems wants to wade into the Jon Snow dead-or-alive saga.
Teasing her forthcoming fouth season of Inside Amy Schumer, Amy sits GoT style astride a massive horse and declares that Jon Snow is...'definitely alive'.
Oh Amy. You do make us LOL.
And with less than a week to go before the season six premiere, Game Of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer (AKA Queen Margaery Tyrell) has also dropped ANOTHER Jon Snow clanger. Speaking on The One Show, Nat also hinted that the beloved Lord Commander of the Night's Watch might still be alive:
'There was a big hoo-ha because George [R.R. Martin] delayed the publication of the next books, so the TV show is really going to be unchartered territory… fresh snow.'
Fresh Snow?! As in, Jon Snow?? Oh the anticipation! Are we reading TOO much into this now?!
Roll on April 24th…
