Fifty Shades of Grey will not be in our cinemas as soon as we thought, as the release date for the much-anticipated movie has been pushed back another six months.
This will no doubt comes as a blow for fans of the book, especially as appetites were whetted yesterday when the first photos of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele were unveiled.
The Fifty Shades movie suffered its first setback when Charlie Hunnam pulled out of the lead role earlier this year. Although he was quickly replaced by the handsome Jamie Dornan, who you will have previously seen in the BBC's The Fall (and maybe in his underwear for Calvin Klein), the movie will still not be ready for its original August 2014 release date.
'We've been looking really closely at the August date and becoming more and more convinced that the right thing to do for the movie was to push it,' Donna Langley of Universal Pictures told Entertainment Weekly.
The film, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, is now set to be released on Valentine's weekend 2015.
Romantic? We're not sure. Still, at least we know we won't be spending that Valentine's Day alone. See you in the cinema...
