Fifty Shades Movie Gets An Oscar-Winning New Cast Member

Marcia Gay Harden has been picked to play Christian Grey's adoptive mother...

The Fifty Shades of Grey movie cast has another new member in the form of Oscar-winning actress, Marcia Gay Harden.

Marcia will be playing physician Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, the adoptive mother to Christian Grey and Mia Grey.

Although you may not instantly recognise her, the 54-year-old actress has more than proved her acting talents over the years. In 2001, Marcia won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in the film, Pollock, about the life and career of the artist Jackson Pollock and was nominated for another Oscar in 2004. Meanwhile, the actress has just finished filing Woody Allen's latest movie, Magic in the Moonlight. As well as numerous roles on the big screen, Marcia Gay Harden has enjoyed an illustrious TV career too, appearing in The Newsroom as well Trophy Wife.

After Rita Ora's surprise news that she will appearing in the film as Christian Grey's sister, Mia, it looks like things are definitely on the up for the movie, which has started filming in Vancouver.

Fingers crossed for that 2015 release date.
