George Clooney has made no secret of the fact that he’s the arm candy in his marriage to human rights lawyer, Amal Clooney. In fact, he’s more than happy to don that role, as his latest interview goes to prove.

Chatting to the host on US talk show, The Late Show, George showed no signs of flapping when he was asked the question: ‘What is it like to be the arm candy in a relationship?’

However, the show’s new host Stephen Colbert wasn’t finished with the Hollywood heartthrob just yet, as he continued to illustrate his point.

‘[Amal] must say, like, “We're going to meet extremely intelligent people tonight–these are not show folk. Just be shiny and pretty.”’ Clearly amused by the observation, George simply nodded and admitted, ‘That’s mostly what I do…’ Oh George, what are you like?!

The Hollywood actor even admitted that there are ‘Often times [he feels] like an idiot talking to [his] own wife. It's never good,’ during their first anniversary celebrations.

However, he’s not the only A-lister to relish in his trophy husband status. Here’s a selection of our favourite arm candy megastars…

Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Probably leader of the Trophy Husbands Of The World club, the Inception star has been consistently vocal in his admiration for his wife, Tasha McCauley’s work. And no wonder – she’s the co-founder and CEO of a robotics company called Fellow Robots, which is based at the NASA Research Park in the Bay Area. On top of that, she’s got a masters degree, speaks three languages and was even a university lecturer. Wow.

Apparently, she’s also a whizz at keeping secrets too, as the pair unveiled that they had welcomed their first child a couple of weeks back. Hands up if you even knew she was pregnant? Yep, we didn’t either…

Channing Tatum
Sure, they’re both actors and sure, he may be the more famous out of the two, but Channing Tatum has branded himself a trophy husband time and time again. While on the Golden Globes red carpet with his wife, Jenna Dewan, he was the one left holding her train as she made her way into the venue, and was asked to stand out of the way to allow the paps to get their perfect shot of her frock. He quipped: ‘I have an hourly rate: Anyone that needs their train held, I’m here.’ What a guy…

Benedict Cumberbatch
While Benedict has many impressive accolades to his name, his theatre and opera director, screenwriter and former thespian wife, Sophie Hunter, definitely ups their overall couple average.

Daniel Craig
Like Channing and Jenna, both Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz are acclaimed actors in their own right. However, with her degrees from Cambridge University and her fluency in several languages, Mr Bond is definitely the arm candy in this relationship.

Trophy husbands 4 life.
