Fabulous gowns galore at the Emmys 2010

The biggest names in TV, from the cast of Mad Men to the stars of Glee, took the red carpet by storm as they dressed to impress at Sunday's Emmy awards.

It's the most prestigious event in the TV awards calendar and everyone from Eva Longoria Parker to Emily Blunt and Chloe Sevigny graced the red carpet in some seriously stunning designer gowns for the Emmy Awards 2010.

All eyes were on the Mad Men ladies after they swiped the award for Outstanding Drama series, with January Jones going bold in a stunning feather effect electric blue gown by Atelier Versace.

'I just felt like a bird. I love it. It’s like a piece of art,' she said.

Co-stars Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss also looked dazzling in a lilac Donna Karen gown and one-shoulder champagne Zac Posen dress respectively.

The Glee girls were nothing short of stunning either and swiped three awards including Outstanding Comedy. Diana Agron made her way down the red carpet in a tiered lace Carolina Herrera number, while Lea Michele was one chic Gleek in her ruffled Oscar de la Renta dress.

A beaming Claire Danes also picked up one of the coveted awards for her role in the HBO film Temple Grandin, and sported a shimmering Armani Prive floor-skimmer.

It wasn't all about the fashion parade though, as comedy came courtesy of the Glee cast with some help from Mad Men's Jon Hamm and host of the night, Jimmy Fallon, who put on the night's opening performance with a rendition of Born To Run.
