Eva Mendes Proves She's A VERY Thrifty Shopper With This £4 Red Carpet Outfit

For her first-ever red carpet appearance 14 years ago, Eva Mendes didn't wear Louis Vuitton or Chanel — instead she opted for a £4 charity shop buy. And here it is...

Eva Mendes has always been pretty laid back when it comes to fashion. Sure, she's always perfectly styled and continually sets our pulses racing with her gorgeous (and seemingly endless) array of summertime dresses but she's certainly never been a slave to it, and nothing proves that fact more than this revelation that's come straight from the actress herself...

Having recently joined Instragram to help promote her new clothing and beauty lines, Eva has certainly made up for lost time by embracing all of the Insta-trends with open arms, including #TBT.

Posting a pic of her during her first-ever red carpet appearance 14 years ago, the 41-year-old actress captioned the shot: 'The debut of my latest @nyandcompany collection has me throwing back to my first red carpet when did my own hair and make up...'. Yep, there's no diva tactics here, people!

Aside from the fact that Eva looks the EXACT same fourteen years on from this photo being taken, something else definitely surprised us about this look.

Eva went on to reveal: '...that's a $6 dress from Goodwill. I've always loved a cheap find. Viva thrift shops! #tbt'

Yep, you read that right — $6! That's £4.03 to be exact. And yes, while you could argue that clothes were cheaper, you know, back in the day, the fact that Eva found her first red carpet look hanging on the rails in a charity shop is amazing in itself. After all, there's not a lot 4 quid will get you nowadays...

Of course, these days Eva has her pick of the designer crop but we reckon that — even though she's a MAJOR star with none other than Ryan Gosling on her arm — she'd still choose one of her fav bargain finds over a super-pricey look any day.

And that folks is why we love her. Go Eva!
