Rumours have been rife as to who will star in the soon-to-be-filmed adaptation of E L James's now-cult novel 50 Shades of Grey, but we can now put one young actress out of the running for the role of Anastasia Steele.
Emma Watson spoke to press to deny her involvement in the film, and it seems she may be one of the only Brits who hasn't picked up a copy of the book trilogy: "I haven’t read the book, I haven’t a read a script, nothing. There are so many movies you become attached to when I’ve literally never even received a phone call."
The news doesn't come as a shock considering Emma's busy schedule - she's about to wrap filming on Darren Aronofsky's Noah, in which she stars alongside Douglas Booth and Russell Crowe, and will soon begin the promo tour for her upcoming flick The Perks of Being A Wallflower.
This begs the question: who will be playing Anastasia? Our vote is for Kristen Stewart, or perhaps Jennifer Lawrence would fit the bill.
For male lead Christian Grey, everyone from Ryan Gosling to Michael Fassbender and True Blood's Ian Somerholder have been name-dropped - we guess we'll just have to wait and see.
