Emma Watson’s post Harry Potter plans

With the final Harry Potter in cinemas now, InStyle looks at what’s next for Emma Watson…

Having played Hermione in the formidable fantasy franchise Harry Potter for 10 years, InStyle takes a look at what the future holds for Emma Watson.

After staying true to her role as Hermione in Harry Potter for a decade, Emma Watson has become synonymous with the iconic fantasy films. But as the new face of French beauty brand Lancome and with a whole host of film roles coming up, we reckon Emma will find an entirely new set of fans while keeping the old ones very happy.

Up first for the gamine beauty is a cameo role in the eagerly anticipated My Week with Marilyn, starring Michelle Williams. Based on Laurence Olivier’s assistant’s notes taken during the filming of The Prince and the Showgirl, Emma plays leading man Eddie Redmayne’s love interest.

On the film Emma has said: “I’ve seen a trailer for it. It looks pretty amazing.”

But if that doesn’t grab your interest, Emma has also just finished filming cool coming-of-age movie, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Emma surprised herself in taking the part, explaining in an interview with MTV: "It's so funny because I never thought I'd make another sort of high school-esque movie, and here I am in this coming-of-age, American teen [movie]. But it's very witty, and it's very funny and it's very moving, so I'm excited."

And with rumours that Emma is in discussions with director Guillermo Del Toro to play the lead role in a new adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, we could see her in a new fantasy before we know it!
