Elizabeth Olsen talks Liberal Arts

Intro Deck:

InStyle met Elizabeth Olsen to talk romance and her role in new rom-com, Liberal Arts…

After breaking onto the acting scene in Martha Marcy May Marlene, there was no risk of Elizabeth Olsen staying in her big sisters' shadow. With several gritty and well-received roles now behind her, Lizzy (as she's known to friends) has made comedy her next move. She stars as free-spirited Zibby in off-beat rom-com, Liberal Arts.

Written, directed by and starring, How I Met Your Mother's Josh Radnor, the film shows the funny side of age-gap relationships, with 35-year-old College Admissions Officer, Jesse (Radnor), dating student, Zibby (Olsen).

On real-life romance, Lizzy told us: "I definitely think of myself as a romantic, I love rom-coms, even if i'm not the best at being romantic, as I'm a little blunt!"

And on age-gap relationships: "Some people have youthful spirits, some people have old spirits and wherever they meet is where they meet."

Liberal Arts is out now.
