Downton has had us hooked series after series, and while the fourth set of instalments may not hit our screens until Autumn, we're all ears for any teaser information. Luckily show executive, Gareth Neame, has revealed an unexpected twist.
In series three we were left weeping when Lady Sybill and Matthew Crawley passed away, leaving the Crawley family dynamic to uncertain fate, but Gareth has explained that it could mark a positive turning point in the show: "This is a lesson in something that seems like a really big loss in the moment, but will actually turn into a great opportunity... which it will also be for the show, to take a turn in a whole different direction."
It's also been revealed that Dame Maggie Smith will return to the show as Dowager Countess, so we could be in for the best series yet!
