Dita Von Teese gets a style makeover for her TV debut

The Burlesque star sheds her sexy corsets to make her TV debut in crime show CSI, where she plays a modest school teacher

She's the last person you'd expect to find at a crime scene, but burlesque artist Dita Von Teese is set to make her TV debut on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. However, don't expect to see the curvy bombshell in her trademark cleavage-baring corsets and sexy fishnet hose. Dita, who plays a teacher-turned-burlesque dancer with a love for all things forensic, looks almost unrecognisable on set in a classic trench coat.

The star, who was asked to tone down her look by TV execs, said of her makeover: "There was a lot of network talk about my offensive cleavage which I found interesting considering how much blood and gore there is... we had to take it down a notch."

Dita’s character becomes romantically linked to investigator Greg Sanders, played by Eric Szmanda, who said during an interview: "I was in love with her the minute I met her."

Dita’s male fans will not be entirely disappointed as the star does carry out some of her renowned burlesque moves…

The episode airs in the U.S on 20 January 20 and in the UK on Channel 5 on 29 March.
