David Beckham Gets Ready For A Selfie Stampede In Times Square

The former-footballer will be making an appearance at the launch of his H&M Bodywear collection, ahead of his Super Bowl debut

David Beckham is getting ready to cause chaos in Times Sqaure, as news comes that he is slated to make an appearance at the launch of his Bodywear collection for H&M.

The former-footballer will be rewarding the first 200 people in the queue at the Times Square store on February 1st with a selfie. So if you're in the locale, put that date in your diary. Or if you were thinking about a last minute NYC getaway, now's the time to do it.

Beckham's upcoming appearance at the Times Square H&M store comes as part of the brand's huge advertising campaign for his new Bodywear collection.

Giant billboards featuring David Beckham's face (and body) have been erected in Times Square ahead of the main event: Beckham's Super Bowl debut.

No, David has not become an American football pro, but he will be the focus of the coveted Super Bowl advert slot with his film for H&M.

Shot around London, David is filmed climbing various industrial-looking buildings wearing pieces from his collection.

However, to make it that little bit more exciting, H&M are allowing the public to choose which version of the advert we see. Using the hashtags #Covered or #Uncovered – which pretty much explain everything we need to know about the ads – we can decide which advert will be shown come Sunday 2nd February. We know which hashtag we'll be using.

Even if we can't get to New York to meet David Beckham in the flesh, we can still watch him from the comfort of our sofas, courtesy of Sky Sports. Although, given the time difference, you may have to get up pretty early in the morning…
