Talk of who will play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey has been abounding for months, with suggestions including the likes of Emma Watson, Robert Pattinson and Cara Delevingne.
But now we can finally reveal that Britain's Charlie Hunman and US actress Dakota Johnson have landed the lead roles in the new movie, which will be released in 2014.
The news was revealed by author E.L James, who tweeted, "I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."
Charlie Hunman, the homegrown talent best known for his work in TV shows as Queer as Folk and US biker drama Sons of Anarch, beat Alex Pettyfer, Jessie Pavelka, Paul Walker, Dominic Cooper and James Franco to the top spot.
Dakota Johnson, who appeared with Justin Timberlake in 2010 release, The Social Network, is the daughter of Miami Vice star Don Johnson, and Melanie Griffith.
The much anticipated film will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, and will depict the relationship between billionaire Christian and college student Anastasia. We're not the only ones keen to see how the story develops on the big screen! JS
