The ALICE by Temperley birthday bash at celebrity haunt Paradise by Way of Kensal Green was one great excuse for Londoners to get their glad-rags on and celebrate the fab fashion brand.
The quintessentially British label is suitably rock ’n’ roll in spirit and is the sister line to Temperley London. Its affordable, easy-to-wear styling makes it a huge hit with all the A-list including Beyonce, Daisy Lowe and Jessica Biel.
Daisy Lowe opted for a vertically striped cream and black ALICE by Temperley hunter shirt, signature leather skirt and towering heels, while fellow DJ for the night Ellie Goulding worked a Nadine Shirt with lace cuffs and ribbon detail over black leather Sandrine Trousers all from ALICE by Temperley. Ms Temperley herself was all smiles rocking an entirely leopard print ensemble including a foot tall fur hat, all from her new Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Alice spent most of the evening with husband Lars von Bennigsen and close friend Radio One DJ Edith Bowman, who sported an ALICE by Temperley Mini Sleeved Atlas Dress for the occasion.
The event had a distinctly Tim Burton-inspired flavour: twenty-somethings in dark lipstick and fur sipped Chambord and ginger beer cocktails while the gentlemen, favouring top hats and braces, enjoyed Paradise's haute-English-cuisine style canapés. More daring guests sported playing card headpieces, and Union Jack dresses (more Vivienne Westwood than Geri Halliwell).
All in all, the North London shindig to celebrate ALICE by Temperley's 1st Birthday was one very British affair!
