X Factor winners Little Mix hit the coveted number-one spot in the charts with their debut single Cannonball
Little Mix, fresh from their success as winners of the latest series of X Factor – beating runners up Marcus Collins and Amelia Lily – have scored their first number one hit single with their cover of Damien Rice’s Cannonball.
Tulisa’s winning girl band were celebrating yesterday after reaching the top of the charts by selling 210,000 copies of their single in its first week – the highest first-week sales of any single this year. Tulisa's "little muffins" are also the first band to EVER win X Factor!
The Little Mix girls tweeted from their @littlemixoffic account: “Can't believe it!! Thanks to all you #littlemixers who bought #cannonball Love you soooo much” and posted a pic of themselves celebrating at the Radio 1 studios.
Congratulations to Jesy, Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade!
