Most actors start acceptance speeches by thanking their parents or co-stars, but Homeland star Claire Danes opened her Screen Actor's Guild Awards acceptance speech with a shout-out to underwear brand Spanx.
The star gave birth to a baby boy called Cyrus just weeks ago, but didn't cover up her post-pregnancy body on the red carpet. She appeared looking toned and trim in a body-skimming one shoulder Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci gown.
The actress was collecting a SAG award for her role as Carrie Mathison in Homeland and revealed the secret to her smooth silhouette in a joke at the start of her acceptance speech.
She said: "As a brand spankin'...or Spanx-ing new mom..."
It seems the star has enjoyed her first few weeks of motherhood. Speaking about baby Cyrus on the red carpet, the actress said: "He's six weeks and getting fat. It's very exciting. He's starting to smile a little bit and he kind of knows I exist. That's reassuring, that feedback is amazing."
