Cheryl Fernandez-Versini got the X Factor off to a very stylish start yesterday, as she stepped out in an altogether 'un-Cheryl-like' outfit for the talent show's London press launch.
Eschewing her usual flippy mini skirt for a more preppy look, the newly-married star decided to go prim and proper in a form-fitting collared midi dress by Jason Wu, keeping those well toned legs hidden underneath the modest hem.
Cheryl matched her minimalist monochrome frock with a pair of sensible looking two-tone heels and next-to-no jewellery: this was an outfit that clearly said (in a strong Geordie accent) that the returning judge definitely means business on this year's show.
And if the outfit didn't say 'Don't mess with me' loudly enough, that voluminous bouffant and statement berry lip made sure that everyone was aware of the singer's intention to win.
While the annual X Factor frock off is yet to get underway owing to the absence of Mel B at the launch yesterday, we're in no doubt that's another battle that Chezzer intends to win too.
