After months of rumours, Cheryl Cole has finally confirmed that she will be reprising her role as X Factor judge on the next series of the talent show.
The 30-year-old singer will be returning to our TV screens this autumn and taking up her seat on the panel next to her long-time frenemy, Simon Cowell.
The X Factor producer and judge, who has been in the States these past few years on the US version of the show (which has now been axed), took to Twitter to confirm the news everyone had been waiting for. 'It's official, Cheryl is back. Be careful what you wish for!' the new dad wrote.
Meanwhile, Cheryl was a little more excited about her return. She told her Instagram fans: 'GUESS WHAT!!.. I'm baaaacccckkkkk!!!!#iMayActuallyRingHisNeck #XFactor2014 #leggooo' [sic] alongside a picture of her appearing to wring her fellow judge's neck.
But while the two enjoy bickering, we know they love each other really. 'Most importantly she is a brilliant judge of talent,' Simon wrote in a separate Tweet. We'll see how long that generous nature lasts...
