We knew Cheryl Cole's performance on the X Factor at the weekend was going to get a fair few views, but it turns out more people watched her, and Whitney Houston, perform their new singles, than last year's final.
The ratings peaked at 14.8million, with a 50 per cent share of the available audience, eclipsing the 14.6million that saw Alexandra Burke crowned the X Factor champ last year.
Sunday night's results show saw the gorgeous Cheryl Cole strut her stuff in a military-inspired outfit while singing her new solo track Fight For This Love in front of Girls Aloud bandmates and her husband Ashley Cole.
Also putting in an impressive performance on the X Factor stage was Whitney Houston who showed, despite a 12-year break, she's still got an incredible voice and amazing stage presence.
The Saturday night X Factor show also scored highly getting 12.2million viewers compared to the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing who managed to peak with just 8.5million.
Next week's X Factor double bill is set to be another hit with audiences as Irish legends Westlifeand Michael Buble will performing as well as the contestants singing with a full orchestra.
