Palm Springs was awash with stars this weekend as the 23rd annual film fest, which pays tribute to the best in the world of cinema, got underway.
Angelina wore a simple but uber-elegant Elie Saab gown to accompany Brad as he accepted the Desert Palm Achievement Actor Award for his role in Moneyball. Accessorising his tux with a black cane, he told reporters that he had fallen on a ski slope while carrying the couple’s three-year-old daughter, Vivienne.
Other recipients included Charlize Theron, who was honoured with a brunch given in her name, where she received the Variety magazine Indie Impact award. The Monster star wore an emerald and black Reed Krakoff dress, with black accessories and a low ponytail to accept the award, which celebrates outstanding contribution to independent cinema.
The festival continues in Palm Springs until 16 January, showcasing 78 films from around the world.
