So... are they or aren't they?
Despite their tactile relationship and on-screen chemistry, X Factor co-presenters Caroline Flack and Olly Murs have long insisted they are 'Just Good Friends.'
But Caroline set the rumour mill into overdrive last night when she posted a picture on her Instagram page suggesting their relationship has been stepped up a level. That - or they've got a very familiar friendship.
The picture, taken at an awards ceremony in London last night, shows Caroline and Olly sharing a kiss in a photobooth. This follows Caroline's suggestion in a recent interview that her relationship with Olly isn't "totally platonic."
"Me and Olly have a lovely relationship. It's a weird chemistry" Caroline told You Magazine, "we have the innate understanding of one another – we don't fancy each other and yet we don't not fancy each other. We're not girlfriend and boyfriend, yet we're not totally platonic either."
The pair had a tough act to follow when they took over from Dermot O'Leary to present this year's X Factor, but have managed to laugh off criticism and show a united front despite a few live trip-ups.
But has the public ribbing brought the two closer together? Or is this 'revelation' simply a Cowell-driven publicity stunt to boost X Factor ratings, which have dipped this year to 5.6 million (far behind its big rival Strictly Come Dancing, which has been drawing an average audience of 9 million). We'll have to watch this space.
For what it's worth, we think they make a very nice couple.
