Kate Middleton’s mum Carole was on babysitting duty as the Duchess of Cambridge made her first public appearance…

Showing off her fabulous post-baby figure, Kate Middleton attended her first public engagement since the birth of Prince George, safe in the knowledge that her new baby was being looked after by grandmother Carole Middleton.

Revealing no trace of a baby bump at the Ring O’ Fire race in Anglesey, the Duchess of Cambridge looked radiant and relaxed in a Zara patterned blouse, fitted blazer and black skinny jeans from Paige.

Marking her first Royal engagement since George's birth on 22 July 2013, and with husband Prince William by her side, the Duchess was all smiles as she started the 135-mile marathon in her home of Anglesey.

Telling well wishers at the event that baby George is "doing very well", and was, "with granny at the moment", we bet new grandmother Carole was delighted to be looking after the Royal tot! JS
