Carey Mulligan steps outside her style comfort zone for the Inside Llewyn Davis premiere in London
Carey Mulligan brightened up the BFI London Film Festival last night as she attended the Inside Llewyn Davis premiere in a vivid yellow dress.
We were treated to a rare pop of colour from the British actress, whose gorgeous strapless silk frock came courtesy of Christian Dior.
Meanwhile accessories were kept minimal, with a only a slick of clashing red lipstick to accompany her wispy updo and mesh Dior heels.
Talking about stepping out of her comfort zone in the new film, Carey said, “I also loved how unkind Jean could be, how brutal even. Most of the women I play are quite empathetic and Jean most certainly is not.'
While she admitted there are certain pressures to working alongside singer-and-actor Justin Timberlake, “Singing for me seems to be the most nerve-wracking thing to do.
“And when you're surrounded by actual musicians like Oscar, Justin and Stark [Sands], it's even worse. Here I was with all these accomplished musicians so it was very intimidating.”
More of this please, Carey.
