Not content with being one of the world's most sought after models, a style icon and a luxury handbag designer, Cara Delevingne is reportedly going to give modelling a break to take up a very different role; as the lead in a musical.
Cara's made no secret of the fact that she'd love to get into acting, and it looks like she's finally got her big chance. She might have had a brief moment on-screen alongside Keira Knightley in 2012's Anna Karenina, but her next project is set to be on a way larger scale.
Whispers are circulating that Cara will star as the female lead in up-coming flick All Summer Long, a Beach Boys-themed musical shot similar in style to Mamma Mia in the sense that the plot and characters will be fictional, but all of the songs will be Beach Boys classics.
Alongside Cara, the movie will also star John Stamos and is the brain-child of Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the producing mavericks responsible for musical-movie hits Hairspray and Chicago. Not bad company to be in then...
The big question is, can Cara really belt out a tune? Well if she can hold her own singing along with songstress pal Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran – as this cute video proves – we reckon she'll do just fine. Congrats, CD!
