The Cannes Film Festival 2010 has kicked off with a bang as the Robin Hood premiere drew a host of uber-glamorous stars to its red carpet.
Cate Blanchett, Salma Hayek, Kate Beckinsale and Eva Longoria all upped the glamour stakes and pulled out all the fashion stops.
Star of the movie Cate wowed in an edgy monochrome dress with an eagle print and tulle hem by the late Alexander McQueen. She finished the look with Van Cleef and Arpels jewels.
Kate Beckinsale was stunning in a voluminous, lilac one-shouldered Marchesa gown, while Eva Longoria also opted for high-drama in a tiered, cream gown by Emilio Pucci, with a Swarovski clutch and coral accessories.
Salma Hayek had heads turning in a striking maroon asymmetric Gucci Couture gown with bejewelled shoulder and waist embellishment.
Once again, Helen Mirren flew the flag for over fifty and fabulous as she was a total knockout in floor-sweeping black Elie Saab.
And the leading man of the movie, Russell Crowe, arrived looking suave in a black suit, while his wife Danielle Spencer was sleek in a wedding-worthy slinky gown.
Fashion fabulous - we love!
