Kristen Stewart emerged from a huge silver Mercedes and onto the gravel outside Burberry's showspace wearing a silver Burberry Prorsum skirt, cross-over top and black trench coat to a flurry of flashbulbs. Taking her seat on the front row, Kristen sat between Hollywood stars Claire Danes and Kate Hudson and settled down to wait for the lights to dim and Christopher Bailey's A/W collection to emerge.
Burberry has the biggest show of London Fashion Week and the buzz in the enormous room was palpable. Though it was raining and cold outdoors once inside the collected celebs, fashion press and buyers were greeted to a soundtrack of thunderstorms and rainfall projected onto the walls, underlining the show's wintery theme.
Also taking their place in the huge Burberry show space were Mary-Kate Olsen, Anna Wintour, Twiggy, Erin O'Connor, Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright and Twilight boyfriend Jamie Campbell Bower, Kya Scodelario, fashion snapper Mario Testino and Topshop head honcho Sir Phillip Green.
Kristen Stewart and Claire Danes sat chatting animatedly about clothes and shoes as they waited for the show to begin while Mary-Kate Olsen kept her sunglasses firmly in place.
Burberry live streamed their fashion show on the internet for the first time last season and once again proved to be at the forefront of new technology. This time they also screened the show in 3D at special spaces in New York, Paris, Dubai, Tokyo and Los Angeles. Fashion blogger Bryan Boy provided live commentary throughout.
When the lights dimmed the audience was treated to Christopher Bailey's vision for the coming season. Named Burberry Cadettes the show was full of military references - double breasted coats with brass button detail, aviator style shearling jackets and olive green all featured heavily.
