An eerily ideal venue for this notorious annual party, the creepy derelict 20s cinema was lit by a thousand carved pumpkins and filled with the likes of Pixie Geldof, Nick Grimshaw, Daisy De Villeneuve and Ben Grimes strutting to tunes provided by Marina and the Diamonds and Charli XCX.
Fuelled by delish yet rather deadly Akvinta Vodka cocktails, the fashion set showed off their sinister outfits. Ben Grimes looked particularly stunning as a suicidal bride and Henry Holland arguably surpassed last year’s BeetleJuice outfit (his ‘wildest party outfit ever’) in an impressive Edward Scissorhands recreation.
‘It’s not Edward, it’s ‘Jedward’ Scissorhands’ he exclaimed, in reference to the infamous X-Factor twins. ‘All my friends think I look like them!’
Hidden spaces throughout the venue had been specially curated by creative kinds such as Henry Holland, LP.BG and David Koma and featured disturbing scenes of blood baths and dismembered body parts.
But, in spite of all the gore and ghastly goings-on, fashion was never far from the mind, as was clear from Henry Holland’s fabulously epitaphed tombstone ‘Bite Me With Your Fang, Alexander Wang’.
