Beyonce has topped the iconic Forbes 100 Most Powerful Celebrities in the world list thanks to a mega-successful 2013-2014 year for the singer.
With a massive tour under her belt, savvy business projects with the likes of H&M and Pepsi and recurring success with her older material (her 2013 single, Drunk In Love, just went platinum), the 32-year-old superstar pipped a host of other celebs, including her husband Jay-Z ,who ranked sixth, to the post.
Forbes calculates its most powerful list by weighing up estimated earnings, press mentions, internet presence and marketability, making Beyonce's position all the more covetable. Taking into account all of Beyonce's endeavours, Forbes estimated that the Single Ladies singer earned a whopping over £65 million between June 1st 2013 and June 1st 2014. Now that's some pay-packet.
Bey wasn't the only celeb flying the flag for women everywhere; other well-know female stars joined Bey in the top ten with Oprah Winfrey coming in fourth, Ellen DeGeneres fifth, Rihanna taking eighth and Katy Perry dropping in at ninth position. Talk about girl-power...
