Last night saw the first of Beyonce's 11 London tour dates from her Mrs Carter Show World Tour, and she didn't fail to blow fans away at the O2 Arena as she put on a flawless performance.
Recievng a stellar reception from fans on Twitter, the Crazy In Love singer made an impressive nine outfit changes, channeling icons including Marie Antionette, Cleopatra and Elizabeth I.
After responding to a standing ovation with the words: “I see the B-hive is in the house tonight,” she kicked off her set with Run the World (Girls) following it up with plenty of classics before giving a nod to her latest material, performing Grown Woman among lions and elephants. Just as fierce as we'd expect from Queen B.
The gig was the first of four taking place this week at the O2 Arena, with dates to follow in Manchester and Dublin. Bey will then return to the UK in June to perform at Gucci's Chime For Change concert as well as for V Festival in August.
