The superstar singer shows her support for her rapper husband's risky Barneys New York collection

Beyoncé paid heed to her husband Jay-Z's brand new Barneys New York clothing range by modelling his luxe new collection, despite the huge controversy surrounding the collaboration.

The world may be shocked by the hip-hop mogul's decision to go forward with his business venture with the US department store, which has been accused of racial profiling its customers, but wife Bey has proved her loyalty by not only attending the launch of the merger but also wearing clothes from the urban sportswear line.

Modelling Jay's covetable wares on Instagram, the 32-year-old superstar was seen rocking several pricey pieces from Jay's just-released SSC Holiday collection, which hit US stores on Wednesday.

Styling up the black and white Moncler Puffer Varsity Jacket ($2295) with a black leather Just Don Mixed Exotics Brooklyn cap ($875), skin-tight leather trousers, a white tee and a ghetto fabulous set of gold jewels, a berry-lipped Mrs Carter showed exactly how her hubby's new range should be rocked. Fierce.

The 43-year-old Holy Grail hitmaker very nearly pulled out his Barneys collaboration over the racial dispute, but it seems Jay's found a happy compromise.

'I have agreed to move forward with the launch of the collection under the condition that I have a leadership role and seat on a council specifically convened to deal with the issue of racial profiling', he posted on his website last week.

'I am in a unique position to use my voice to (e)ffect change to this disturbing issue,' he added.

100% of the proceeds from the collection will go towards his Shawn Carter Foundation, which offers scholarships to students in need.

The Carters may have expensive taste, but there's no denying these two know exactly how to put their riches to good use...
