Beyoncé Leads The Sparkle Trend At The Brit Awards 2014

Queen Bey was dripping in crystals, while Rosie H-W, Lily Allen and Katy Perry all opted for glittering sequins

If there was one fashion message that Beyoncé and her co female guests and performers at last night's Brit Awards wanted to get across, it was: sparkle, sparkle and more sparkle.

Last night was clearly all about hi-octane glamour, and sometimes only sequins and crystals will do.

Of course, it was Beyoncé that shined the brightest in a couture gown by Greek designer Vrettos Vrettakos. The emerald gown, made from a whopping 400,000 sparkling crystals, fit Bey like a glove and the singer accessoried her look with her favourite Lorraine Schwartz diamonds. Just to drive that sparkly mesage home.

Meanwhile Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked stunning in a shimmering deep red and black Saint Laurent gown, as she took to the stage to present One Direction with an award.

Lily Allen and Katy Perry were obviously both inspired by the clothes they saw at London Fashion Week, as they both looked to next season's collections from London designers for their Brit outfits.

Lily Allen wore a neon sequinned dress hot off the House of Holland runway to present an award on stage (as well as choosing vintage Noelle sequins to wear on the red carpet on the way in), while Katy Perry opted for an embellished Julien Macdonald frock from his AW14 collection as one of her many looks for the evening.
