The 2015 Oscars are just around the corner, and few people are better placed to offer advice on how to deal with them than Anne Hathaway.
Not only has she been the recipient of one of those iconic gold statues, for her role in Les Miserables back in 2012, but the actress has also had the dubious pleasure of hosting them.
We say dubious, because, let's face it, her turn on the stage co-presenting with James Franco at the 2011 Oscars didn't exactly go to plan. Awkward skits, and an opening montage that saw the two poke fun at that year's most successful films were unanimously panned by critics.
But Anne isn't under any illusion as to how the night went. She knows it wasn't her finest moment.
Asked in a New York Times interview what she thought went wrong, the actress replied: 'I think it’s so obvious that it doesn’t even need to be identified.'
And her advice to this year's host Neil Patrick Harris? 'Do the opposite of what I did, and you’ll be fine.'
Come on Anne, it wasn't that bad. Was it?
