The American Music Awards 2015 might not be as raucous as The Brits, but there was definitely a lot of celebrity action at last night's ceremony. From the dresses to the drama and the jaw-dropping moments, here’s everything you need to know about The American Music Awards 2015.
Tyga and Kylie Jenner may (or may not) have called it quits over the weekend, so all eyes were on the youngest Jenner as she rocked up to the AMA red carpet. Sporting a racy black leather look and mussed-up ponytail, Kylie took sister Kendall (who also debuted a new fringe) as her +1.
Another are-they aren’t-they A-list couple, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, also set tonues wagging when they were spotted out and about on two separate occasions. Casual enough, right? Well, Justin did serenade his long-time love interest, and rumours say that the couple were desperate to sit next to each other during the ceremony.
Gigi Hadid had an awkward run-in with Harry Styles, which we’re assuming is down to bad blood between Harry and ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. While Gigi greeted Liam, Louis and Niall with hugs and air-kisses, Harry was noticeably left out. Ouch. Harry also took some flack for his floral suit, which the internet are saying looks a LOT like these Ikea bedsheets…
Zendaya looked pretty in pink, wearing bubblegum Emanual Ungaro with matching pointed courts. Carrie Underwood also wowed in a caped gown, while the hair look of the night was the top knot – Christina Milian, we’re looking at you.
The AMA's weren't short of Hollywood reunions either, as Rebel Wilson and her Barden Bellas met up backstage ahead of Pitch Perfect 3, due out in 2017 – Hailee Steinfeld, Anna Kendrick and Chrissie Fit were all spotted backstage, while Alicia Silversone (Cher, duh) and Jeremy Sisto (Rolling With The Homies, remember?!) had a mini Clueless reunion as they introduced Gwen Stefani (who was caught Facetiming new boyfriend Blake Shelton earlier in the day). We’re totally buggin’.
And if that wasn’t enough, Nicki Minaj was left unimpressed by her inclusion in the Best Rap Artist category. Was her message at the VMas in July not clear enough? She’s an out and out pop star, so a nod in the pop category is long overdue.
