Amal Alamuddin has done what many had previously deemed impossible. She's taken Hollywood heart-throb and self-confessed bachelor supreme and turned him into a married man in just a short couple of years.
Their wedding, which was held in Venice this weekend, attracted so much attention that hoards of fans lined the canals just to catch a glimpse of the happy couple in their wedding get-up.
While they were treated to waves and smiles from the 53-year-old groom himself as he made his way up one of the cities winding canals to the wedding venue via a vintage water taxi, there was no sign of Amal anywhere.
Security was so tight on the day that it's been said that guests were asked to leave their personal cameras and phones at the entrance to the festivities and were instead provided with camera's equipped with a high-tech coding which would allow the couple to track any leaked images with ease. However, the usually private couple have now released the professional images of their big day, and they've already bagged their first magazine cover...
This morning, celebrity news publication Hello! released what will be the cover for their next issue, featuring a suited and booted George and a wedding-dress clad Amal in full view. Eek! we know what you're thinking - Clooney isn't exactly known for letting the public into his personal life, let alone his big day, but the couple have made the decision to strike a deal with the publication so that they can donate all the money they receive for the amazing images to charity. Now that's more like it...
We let you in on the news that Amal's wedding dress was created especially for her by bridal-designer to the stars Oscar De La Renta, who has created the wedding looks of A-list the likes of Kate Bosworth in the past. Not bad company to be in, huh Amal?
The 36-year-old lawyer and activist has been praised for her faultless wedding wardrobe on the run-up to and post her nuptials, so her chic choice of gown has come at no surprise either.
Featuring a sophisticated off the shoulder lace neckline and a long A-line skirt, the dress was both timeless with a subtly modern twist. Her veil was beautifully traditional, featuring a double layer of soft mesh with the same lace as the dress itself appliqued on the hems. Stunning.
We don't know about you, but we think they make an eye-wateringly beaut pair. Just think of the kiddies they could have...
Congrats again, Mr & Mrs Clooney!
