From sitting on the FROW to starring in more major movies than we can count on one hand, Alicia Vikander has officially stepped out of the woodwork to become 2015's hottest up and coming actress. And we want to know more. Bring on the facts!

1. She's Swedish and trained to be a ballet dancer

Born in Gothenburg, Vikander went on to train at the Royal Swedish Ballet School from the age of nine with the aim of becoming a principal dancer. Injuries in her late teens lead her to auditioning for drama school, but she was turned down twice. Ouch. She also, at one point, got in to law school but  decided not to go in order to follow her acting career. Just a few talents then...

2. She's an actress (duh)

Can we please discuss those film roles? You might first have seen her as the naive 18 year-old Kitty playing opposite Keira Knightley in the epic Anna Karenina in 2012 before going on to rack up roles in Fifth Estate and Son Of A Gun. But by far, 2015 is her biggest year. Starring in no less than eight films this year, Vikander has been one busy bee. Between Testament Of Youth with Kit Harington, The Man From U.N.C.L.E alongside Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, Vikander snuck in a major role in sci-fi flick Ex Machina winning our award for Looking The Hottest With Absolutely No Hair. So safe to say, she's doing pretty well.

3. She's dating Michael Fassbender

Not only is she talented and intelligent, she's ridiculously good looking as well. Damn. Meeting on the set of The Light Between Oceans (another of her many films coming out this year), it was almost inevitable that co-star Michael Fassbender would take a liking to the Swedish lovely. Could this be our new favourite couple we love to hate?

4. She's Louis Vuitton's new muse

Revealing Vikander as their new 'face', Louis Vuitton have officially made her a core part of the elusive fash pack. Following in the footsteps of Hollywood's cream of the crop Michelle Williams, Jennifer Connelly and Charlotte Gainsbourg, she's in good company. With eight films out this year and the promo tours that go hand in hand, we have a sneaky feeling the French fashion house knew what they were doing with this one.
