Alexa's inspiring our wardrobes yet again with her latest on-point attire...
We can always count on Alexa Chung to provide us with faultless fashion inspo and her latest get-up is certainly no different.
We clocked the 31-year-old writer, TV presenter and all-round style maven looking oh-so-chic while attending a dinner in New York to celebrate Valentino's new book, Valentino: At The Emperor's Table and we simply can't stop swooning over her outfit.
While Alexa was, of course sporting a monkey-emblazoned frock from Valentino's Pre-Spring/Summer 2015 collection which, let's face it, we could only DREAM of wearing, it was her sleek court shoes that really caught our attention.
Rocking a pair of Christian Louboutin black suede courts complete with an edgy spiked gold toe cap, Alexa's savvy footwear choice instantly gave her look instant polish and major style cred in one full sweep.
The sartorially-obsessed among you will remember that gold toe caps had a major re-surge back in 2012 — in fact, we still have pairs stashed in the back of our wardrobes — but thanks to La Chung's very stylish seal of approval, they're officially back on our radar.
While we can only pine over Alexa's Louboutin originals (sadly, we don't have the £700 going spare to fork out on the designer version), you'll be pleased to hear the the high-street has jumped on to the toe cap bandwagon and already has hoards of styles to choose from. Major yay!
River Island, Asos and Ted Baker are just some of the brands who have played homage to the Louboutin toe-cap with Topshop leading the way with it's on-point, £50 'Golly' courts. But, with styles differing ever-so-slightly from store to store, you can find the perfect pair to suit you right down to the wire.
Choose from classic black just like Alexa or, for the ultimate show-stoppers, you might want to consider investing in a royal blue or burgundy hue instead. Either way, we guarantee they'll pay for themselves with all the double-take action you'll be getting on your next night out.
Now, how's about loaning us that Valentino frock, AC...
