Alexa Chung And Poppy Delevingne's Very Fashionable Road Trip

Intro Deck:

The two models and best pals let us in on their girl talk. Watch the video...

We all know that Alexa Chung and Poppy Delevingne are good pals – the two have been known to tear up the town together on more than once occasion – but we never knew just how close the two are.

In fact, Chung and Delevingne have been friends for the past decade, after meeting in the reception at Storm where they were both signed as models.

Now, ten years later, the two have appeared in a road trip-themed shoot together for Net-A-Porter's The Edit. Looking stunning (natch) in a series of laid-back outfits fit for a summer spent behind the wheel of a convertible – think white lace, denim cut-offs, suede ankle boots and ponchos – Alexa and Poppy look like the kind of gals we want to hang out with.

As well as the gorgeous shoot, Poppy has written a feature about her long-lasting friendship with Chung (as she is known to her nearest and dearest), and the two let us in on their girly chat over a couple of cocktails in the video above.

Here's what we learned about the pair from Poppy's love letter to Alexa, and friendship, in The Edit.

They're both whisky lovers – but Alexa can't drink very much of the stuff: 'She can’t actually drink very much – honestly, she sips so slowly it’s mind-boggling.'

They cemented their friendship after a spot of late-night skinny dipping in Cannes:  'It was spectacular. At 4am, rummaging through bushes for our stray couture, I realized it wasn’t just another friendship.'

Just like the rest of us, Poppy is envious of Alexa's wardrobe: 'Everything she wears she makes desirable – I told her to try my engagement ring on once and I fell in love with it even more seeing it on her finger.'

They love talking about boys more than anything: 'James knows I’m boy-crazy and always will be, but Alexa is really boy-crazy.'
