It's a glittering career moment for Adele as her album 21 is named the biggest selling album in the WORLD for a second year in a row.
And it seems it's a huge year for British talent, with X-Factor fledglings One Direction taking both second AND third place on the globally ranked poll for last year with their two debut albums, Up All Night and Take Me Home.
Other Brits to make the best selling album list include Mumford and Sons, Emili Sande, Ed Sheeran, Muse, Rod Stewart and Led Zeppelin.
Adele's international success is nothing short of a triumph as her debut album, 19, also takes the number 10 spot for 2012 - despite being released over five years ago.
With over a whopping 4.4 million copies sold last year in the US alone, 21 looks set to be Adele's biggest masterpiece - raking in seven Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, three American Music Awards, twelve Billboard Music Awards, as well as Ivor Novello, MOBO and Urban Music Awards. Phew!
