Widely considered to be a precursor to the coveted Oscars, the NYFCC revealed their winners last night, awarding Brit actor Colin Firth with the Best Actor award for his role in The King's Speech.
Best Picture went to The Social Network - hotly tipped to clean up this awards season - with the movie also picking up Best Director for David Fincher.

The night was suitably glamorous, with Colin Firth leading the way for suited and booted men. Awards veteran Annette Bening did old-school glam in a sweeping floor-length gown and velvet bolero with hubby Warren Beatty on her arm.
And while Blue Valentine didn't win any awards, its star Michelle Williams gets our crown for best dressed as she worked a pretty Wren skirt with a Nina Ricci blouse and Louboutin pumps.
