James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff announced Anne’s first pregnancy as they stepped out on the red carpet last night

Anne-Marie Duff showed off her newly pronounced baby bump and glowing complexion at the premiere of her and her husband, James McAvoy’s new film, The Last Station last night.

The Hollywood star together with his actress wife announced they are expecting their first child since first meeting on the set of Channel 4 television show Shameless and then marrying in a quiet ceremony in 2006.

Anne-Marie, who was last week nominated for a BAFTA Best Supporting Actress award for her role as John Lennon’s mother in biopic Nowhere Boy, recently said in an interview how much she would love to have a baby.

The couple’s spokesman Rupert Folwer released a statement saying ‘We are happy to confirm that James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff are expecting their first child. We have no further comment or information at this time’.

Both James and Anne-Marie attended the premiere of The Last Station in London last night alongside their co-star, Helen Mirren.

Anne-Marie, who wore a black lace tiered Escada gown posed for pictures on the red carpet with Helen who looked incredible in a purple dress with a violet cut-out cardigan and a set of sparkling diamond jewellery.
