The Bake Off 2017 Line-Up Has Been Revealed...

The Great British Bake Off is back. But not as you knew it.

After many public spats and plentiful Paul Hollywood bashing, the trailer for The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4 has landed at long last.

In the brand spanking new Great British Bake Off trailer a series of very’ tarty’ tarts and singing scones come alive as they make their way from the oven to the decoration station. The talking cake mixtures, animated croissants and cakes rolling around in glee are our first indication of how the revamped show may look, since it left the BBC last year.

14 million people watched the BBC finale and Channel 4 bosses will be hoping that this animated – yet slightly creepy advert - will entice these loyal viewers over to the dark side.

With Mary Berry staying with the BBC, the now infamous Paul Hollywood heads up a presenting line-up including the comedian Noel Fielding, Dandi Toksvig and Prue Leith.

Just last month Channel 4 boss Jay Hunt hinted that the popular baking show will be given a “modern” revamp commenting, “I have seen the first episode and the first thing you think is that this is Bake Off but with an extraordinarily high calibre of contributors but with a slight Channel 4 feel to it.”

She continues: “It’s got a new tone to it; it’s got a new comic riff to it and I think that feels modern and future-facing. So it’s a show that a lot of people love but with a slight Channel 4 spin which is exactly what I hoped it would be.”

So expect a little bit of comedy and considerably bigger buns when The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 on August, 29th.
