Caroline Flack has made a name for herself as a television presenter, and has since nabbed the coveted gig as the host of this year's X Factor, alongside Olly Murs. However, before she hit the big time with her latest role, she was known for something entirely different—for dating the UK’s most eligible bachelor, Prince Harry.

While many of us couldn’t even begin to fathom what it would be like to even meet a prince, it’s hard to imagine what it must have been like for the 35-year-old star to be asked out by one. On a date. Just the two of them. The mere thought of such a situation fills us with anxiety…

Now, Caroline has shared details of their relationship in her brand new autobiography, A Storm In A C Cup, revealing that, just like the majority of us would be in that situation, she was hopelessly star-struck.

Caroline explains that the pair met through a mutual friend, and although she was nervous, they hit it off instantly.

She writes, 'I knew she was friends with Prince Harry, and I’d never met him, so I thought, "Oh that’s quite exciting", and for a moment I perked up. So I was just sitting there and he arrived with a few others in tow and we all spent the evening chatting and laughing.'

However, it seems like their romance just wasn’t meant to be, as she reveals: 'To meet a prince is so unlikely it would be weird not to acknowledge it. However, once the story got out, that was it. We had to stop seeing each other.'

Remembering the negative effects of their relationship, she recalls, 'I was no longer Caroline Flack, TV presenter, I was Caroline Flack, Prince Harry’s bit of rough.'

Now, Caroline, c’mon—we’re sure Prince Harry wouldn’t agree with that.

Can you believe Caroline Flack came this close to becoming a princess? We reckon she and Kate Middleton would have been AMAZING in-laws… Sigh.
