In what must be one of our favourite Lisa Eldridge beauty tutorials ever – and believe us, we've watched a few – the make-up expert has brought the world of 1920s aristocracy to our screens with a Downton Abbey beauty how to.
Taking Laura Carmichael, who stars as Lady Edith in the phenomenally successful TV series, as muse and model, Lisa shows how to get the subtle, natural look of the Downton ladies.
Lisa chose to recreate a look from season three of the show, which is set at the beginning of the 1920s – a time when ladies of the aristocracy wore very little in the way of cosmetics. Bright lips and bold eyes were the preserve of actresses and 'women of disrepute, so lipstick and rouge was something the Downton ladies would definitely not wear.
As such, this is a tutorial that's definitely all about a natural make-up look. And, although it's a beauty look that's almost 100 years old, it still looks modern and fresh.
So if you're trying to channel an authentic 1920s look, or just want to master that barely there glow, this video's one for you...
