Runway to red carpet: How to wear the new nude make-up

Runway to red carpet: How to wear the new nude make-up

Neutral shades of beige, pale gold, fawn and taupe made models look effortlessly chic at the Calvin Klein, Bottega Veneta and Julien Macdonald spring-summer shows...

We can't help but welcome this pale palette with a huge squeak of excitement. Why do we heart this trend so much? Because these neutral shades are super wearable and easy peasy to apply.

Charlize Theron is one Hollywood celebrity who loves the new nude. Does this lady ever get it wrong? We think not. She's ticked all the right boxes by going for a soft metallic gold on her lids, a shimmery peachy blush and glossy beige lips. Not only is her look bang-on-trend but she's always got that post-holiday glow which is on all of our beauty wish lists.

Get the look:

1. After applying a light veil of tinted moisturiser, dab some Loose Setting Powder in Stardust by Laura Mercier (available at Selfridges 0800 123 4000) for an illuminating shimmer over tops of cheeks and across browbone and even over décolletage.

2. Apply Diorkiss Lip-Plumping Gloss in Pineapple Cocktail by Dior for a crystal-like, champagne coloured lip shine.

3.Swirl Multiple Stick in Orgasm by Nars over cheeks for a peachy summer flush.

4. Brush Shimmer Brick in Beige by Bobbi Brown on top of cheeks for on-the-go candlelight glow.
