THE EXPERT: Gina Kane
Claudia Schiffer has had this pro on speed-dial for five years thanks to her glow-giving skills. “Claudia likes her skin to look fresh, so I combine bronzer for a velvety finish and blusher to give a pretty glow,” says Kane. Here’s how she does it.
Glow for it
For a fine, all-over veil of bronzer, Kane suggest working the product on to a soft bristled brush, then remove the excess on your hand before applying it in sweeping movements. “Don’t forget your earlobes and go down to your chest, so the result is natural and flawless.”
“Apply bronzer to cheeks in a soft circular motion, then brush outwards over cheekbones towards the temples,” says Kane. To slim your jawline, “dust bronzer underneath the chin. Blending it down towards the chest to make your face stand out from your neck”.
“With strong lips, you can’t have too much on the cheeks, but at the same time, red can drain colour for your face,” explains Kane. The solution? “Apply blusher in a circular motion on the apples of your cheeks and blend to create a natural flush.”
For a fresh, healthy flush like Claudia’s, Kane’s trick is to use a pearlescent blusher. “Apply a sheer layer on to the apples of your cheeks for a great glow,” says the pro. Then, her tip for a matching lip: “press the blusher on top of lip balm – and the look is complete”.
