Kate Moss's freckles have become her modelling trademark
Topshop have just announced the launch of the latest product to join their beauty arsenal and we're tipping it as the beauty buy of the summer.
It’s been six years since Topshop Make-Up kicked off, and it’s seen the brand create new beauty must-haves such as the 'Lip Bullet' and their highlighting 'Glow Sticks'. However, we reckon that this might be their most innovative product yet. Meet the ‘Freckle Pencil’, a new tool that allows you to create those girl-next-door beauty spots for yourself - no genetics required.
Kate Moss, model-supreme and long-time collaborator of the brand, is known the world over for her wholesome freckles. Now, we can copy her supermodel spattering with next to no effort.
The pencil contains two complimentary shades of brown swirled together to create a tonal hue that differs with every dot you draw, making your DIY freckles look way more natural, while the long-wearing, waxy formula makes sure your freckles still stay put, eliminating any awkward smudge mishaps.
Quintessential to a summertime glow, here’s how to create that sun kissed, freckled look at home. Start off by applying your normal base make-up, ensuring you allow your foundation and concealer to dry fully. Then sweep a matte bronzer onto your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose, following through by dotting the pencil in small circular motions around the newly bronzed area. Just be sure to keep the spots irregular and slightly different in proportion to stop them from looking fake. Round off your look with some finishing powder and you there you have it; Moss-worthy freckles in a flash.
Retailing at a mere £5, this is one beauty craze you can’t afford not to try. See you at the make-up counter.
Topshop’s ‘Freckle Pencil’ will be available in store and online from July.
